SoZo Coffee Tasting Guide

We understand that choosing coffee can feel overwhelming! Do you want something bright and citrusy, or bold and chocolatey? This guide will help you discover your taste preferences and find your perfect cup.

The Big Four Tasting Notes

1. Acidity

What it is:  A bright, lively sensation (not sour, but sparkling).

Think:  Citrus fruits, berries, tangy sweetness.

You’ll love it if…  you enjoy a crisp, refreshing cup that wakes up your taste buds.

2. Bitterness

What it is:  The strong, sharp edge often found in dark roasts.

Think:  Dark chocolate, cocoa powder, hops.

You’ll love it if…  you enjoy bold flavors and a lingering finish.

3. Body (Fullness)

What it is:  The weight or texture of coffee in your mouth.

Think:  Light body = tea-like, smooth

Medium body = balanced, round

Full body = creamy, heavy, almost syrupy

You’ll love it if… you like a coffee that feels rich and satisfying.

4. Flavor Notes

What it is:  The specific tastes that shine through.

Think:  Fruit, nuts, chocolate, caramel, spice, floral.

You’ll love it if…  you enjoy exploring unique character in every cup.
