Nearly Two Decades of Roasting and Baking

Hi, we're Rodney and Mindy Hensley, co-owners of SoZo Coffee Roasting and Microbakery. In 2005, we transformed our personal passions—roasting fresh coffee beans and feeding our family natural, organic foods—into a community-focused coffee shop in Ionia, MI. What began as a hobby quickly grew into a thriving business dedicated to quality coffee, homemade baked goods, and sustainable sourcing.

At SoZo Coffee, we take pride in sourcing the highest-quality beans directly from farmers, building relationships based on trust and shared commitment to ethical and sustainable practices. Over the years, we’ve expanded, recently adding a new roasting facility and updating our café. While we’ve grown, our core values remain unchanged: supporting farms and suppliers who work to improve their communities, the environment, and local economies.
